Jose Antonio Ejercito Goitia, one of the most prominent Filipino investors in the Kingdom, affirmed that Saudi-Philippine relations are witnessing a qualitative transformation beyond the traditional framework based on labor and remittances, toward a broader strategic partnership encompassing investment, services, food security, energy, and human capital development, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

He said that 'relations between Riyadh and Manila are based on strong historical, human, and cultural ties, reinforced by decades of diplomatic cooperation, in addition to the presence of one of the largest Filipino communities abroad within the Kingdom.'

He pointed out that 'hundreds of thousands of Filipinos have contributed over decades in vital sectors including health, engineering, education, construction, technical services, and hospitality,' emphasizing that their contributions were part of the Kingdom's development journey, while also supporting the Philippine economy through remittances.

He clarified that the next phase requires a shift from the concept of 'labor export' to 'partnership building,' noting that the mega-projects underway in the Kingdom open wide opportunities for Filipino companies and expertise in tourism, renewable energy, healthcare, digital services, logistics, and food industries.

He highlighted that food security represents one of the most prominent areas of future cooperation, given the Philippines' agricultural and food potential, and the Kingdom's increasing interest in strengthening supply chains and agricultural investment, along with promising opportunities in renewable energy and modern technologies.

He added that Saudi Vision 2030 has reshaped the Kingdom's position on the global economic map, making it an attractive economic and investment hub for companies, expertise, and capital, affirming that the Philippines can be an active partner in this phase through its companies, educational institutions, agricultural sector, and entrepreneurs.

He stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation channels between the private sectors in both countries, transforming historical ties into sustainable economic partnerships and joint projects.

On the humanitarian side, he affirmed that relations between the Saudi and Filipino peoples represent a fundamental pillar of the bilateral partnership, built on long-standing experiences in work and community environments, which gives them strength, stability, and greater opportunities for future growth.
