Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, held an official talks session today, Sunday, with Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi at the Lusail Palace in the capital Doha.

During the session, both sides underscored the importance of strengthening and developing bilateral relations between Qatar and Iraq in various fields.

The meeting discussed key regional and international issues and developments, with a focus on the latest developments in the region.

The two parties emphasized the need for all sides to commit to dialogue and diplomacy, and to implement what has been agreed upon within the framework of the memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran, including ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and enhancing regional stability.
