New Iranian attacks target Kuwait and Bahrain... air defenses intercept.

Air defenses in Kuwait and Bahrain intercepted dozens of Iranian missile and drone attacks targeting civilian facilities and public property, in a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and the United Nations Charter.

The Kuwaiti Chief of Staff announced in a statement that 'Kuwaiti air defenses are currently intercepting hostile missile and drone attacks following the sinful Iranian aggression,' amid a security escalation in the region, affirming that 'the sounds of explosions that may be heard are the result of air defense systems intercepting hostile attacks.'

Sirens sounded in Kuwait on Sunday, and authorities called on all citizens and residents to adhere to security and safety instructions issued by the competent authorities and to follow official guidelines, without yet announcing any casualties or damage from the attacks.

Kuwait Electricity announced that a power and desalination plant was attacked for the second time in two days. The Kuwaiti Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy said in a statement that another power and water distillation plant was subjected to a 'hostile attack,' resulting in a fire in one of the plant's components, prompting precautionary operational measures, including disconnecting a number of generation units, to ensure the safety of the plant and its workers and to maintain the stability of the electrical system.

The ministry confirmed that its emergency teams, in coordination with the General Fire Force and relevant authorities, began dealing with the fire immediately after it occurred.

For its part, the General Command of the Bahrain Defense Force stated that air defense systems intercepted and destroyed a number of treacherous Iranian aerial attacks on Sunday.

The General Command said in a statement that Iran continues its systematic hostile approach through its sinful attacks targeting civilians in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

It called on everyone to exercise caution, not to approach any foreign or suspicious objects resulting from the remnants of the brutal Iranian attack, and to report them immediately, noting that the Royal Field Engineering Unit is fully prepared to safely handle those objects.

It stressed that deliberately using missiles and drones to target civilians and private property constitutes a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, affirming that all its weapons and units are at the highest state of readiness and on defensive alert to protect the kingdom.

For its part, the Bahraini Ministry of Interior sounded sirens in the country and stated in a post on its account on the 'X' platform that the siren was activated, calling on citizens and residents to remain calm, head to the nearest safe place, and follow news through official channels.

Bahrain has been witnessing a series of Iranian missile and drone attacks since last night, while the General Command of the Defense Force announced that air defense systems intercepted and destroyed a number of Iranian aerial attacks targeting the kingdom.

In Jordan, the US Embassy announced on Sunday the evacuation of Aqaba International Airport and Port in the south of the kingdom due to a 'specific and credible threat,' and the embassy said on the 'X' platform: 'We strongly advise all Americans to avoid travel to the airport or port, and urge them to continue following all security directives issued by the Jordanian authorities.'

At the same time, Minister of Communication and official government spokesman Muhammad al-Momani affirmed that the relevant authorities have not issued any decisions to evacuate Aqaba Airport or the port.

He clarified that the airport and port are operating normally, noting that any potential risks are warned about by the competent Jordanian authorities according to pre-prepared procedures, which include sounding sirens immediately.

Al-Momani added that no potential threats have been recorded by the competent Jordanian authorities in the past hours.

The General Manager of Aqaba Ports Management and Operation Company, Mahmoud Khalifat, also confirmed that all handling operations and port services continue normally, and there is no evacuation or suspension of work at the port, noting that various operational processes are proceeding according to usual plans without any impact.
