Brussels, Muharram 29, 1448 AH, corresponding to July 14, 2026, SPA — The Kingdom participated in the second meeting of the donor group for Palestine, held in Brussels. The Kingdom was represented at the meeting by Minister Plenipotentiary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Manal bint Hassan Radwan, who stressed that the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip remains extremely dangerous nine months after the ceasefire, amid continued Israeli military control over approximately 70% of the Strip, and Hamas control over the remainder, with continued severe restrictions and obstruction of humanitarian aid access, early recovery efforts, reconstruction, and restoration of normal civilian life. She pointed to the continued escalation of settlement expansion, settler terrorism, and unilateral measures in the occupied West Bank, stressing that these developments confirm that what is happening is not just a humanitarian crisis but a political crisis requiring a political solution. She noted the Kingdom’s welcome of continued political support from the international community for UNRWA, stressing the importance of translating this support into concrete and sustainable financial commitments to ensure the Agency continues to provide its humanitarian, educational, and health services to millions of Palestinian refugees. The Kingdom’s representative affirmed the importance of its strategic partnership with the United States of America, and that close cooperation between the two countries is a key element to transform the handling of the current situation into a comprehensive political settlement, stressing the importance of President Trump’s vision to end the conflict in the Middle East through comprehensive peace that ensures security, prosperity, and regional integration. In conclusion, she affirmed that the Kingdom will continue to stand by the Palestinian government politically, economically, and diplomatically, and work with regional and international partners to achieve a just, comprehensive, and lasting peace based on the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital. // End // 17:38 T M 0137
