The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia participated in the second meeting of the Palestine donor group, held in Brussels, where the Kingdom was represented by the Minister Plenipotentiary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Manal bint Hassan Radwan.

Dr. Radwan explained that the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip remains extremely dangerous nine months after the ceasefire, as the Israeli occupation continues to control approximately 70% of the Strip, with the remainder under the control of Hamas, while severe restrictions continue and hinder the delivery of humanitarian aid, recovery and reconstruction efforts, and the restoration of civilian life.

The Kingdom's representative pointed to the escalation of settlement expansion, settler terrorism, and unilateral measures in the West Bank, affirming that these developments indicate that the crisis is not only humanitarian but also political, requiring a comprehensive political solution.

She added that the Kingdom welcomes continued international political support for UNRWA, stressing the importance of translating this support into tangible and sustainable financial commitments to ensure the Agency continues to provide its humanitarian, educational, and health services to Palestinian refugees.

For her part, Dr. Radwan affirmed the importance of the strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States of America, noting that close cooperation between the two countries is a key element for transforming the handling of the current situation into a comprehensive political settlement.

She stressed the importance of President Trump's vision to end the conflict in the Middle East through achieving a comprehensive peace that ensures security, prosperity, and regional integration.

In conclusion, the Kingdom's representative affirmed continued support for the Palestinian government politically, economically, and diplomatically, and working with regional and international partners to achieve a just and lasting peace based on the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
