The United States canceled the evacuation of refueling aircraft from Ben Gurion Airport in Israel, another sign of its plans to resume the war on Iran, perhaps in full.

According to a report by the Israeli Broadcasting Authority on Tuesday, the United States froze plans to evacuate refueling aircraft from Ben Gurion Airport.

According to the Israel Airports Authority, this means a recurring threat to cancel about 50,000 flight tickets during the current month of July if the evacuation process is not completed.

In a related context, the Israel Airports Authority issued a temporary order on Tuesday prohibiting US military refueling aircraft from landing at Ben Gurion Airport, and estimates indicate that this exceptional directive was issued directly from the office of Israeli Transport Minister Miri Regev.

The authority quoted the Airports Authority warning that the continued presence of US aircraft and the failure to complete their evacuation poses a threat to civilian air traffic, which may force airlines to cancel tens of thousands of bookings this month due to airport capacity constraints.

In contrast, the authority confirmed that despite the instructions of the Israeli Transport Minister, a US refueling aircraft did land at Ben Gurion Airport on Tuesday.

The United States had begun last week to use Israeli facilities to refuel its aircraft, amid renewed military tensions between Washington and Tehran.

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Tuesday that it carried out a round of airstrikes lasting about 5 hours targeting Iranian sites in various parts of the country.

The Central Command said in a statement that these strikes came "to disrupt Iran's ability to attack civilian ships" in the strategic Strait of Hormuz.
