The Israeli army killed 4 Palestinians on Thursday in aerial and artillery strikes, and expanded its control in the eastern areas of Gaza City.
This comes as Israel continues its violations of the ceasefire agreement in effect in Gaza since October 10, 2025.
In the latest attacks, young man Nihad Riyad Aruq (33 years old) was killed by an Israeli drone strike on the port area west of Gaza City, according to a brief statement by the Palestinian Red Crescent Society.
Meanwhile, a medical source at Al-Shifa Hospital told Anadolu that Aruq was killed by an Israeli raid on a tent for displaced persons in the port area, referring to other injuries (undetermined number) including children.
Earlier, a medical source told Anadolu of the killing of Palestinian Ibrahim Khattab (37 years old), and the injury of his wife and children due to intensive artillery shelling and gunfire from Israeli vehicles that advanced around the Dawla junction southeast of Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza City.
A source at Al-Shifa Hospital also told Anadolu of "the arrival of the bodies of the martyrs Muhammad al-Rifi and Suhail Ahadibi, and other injured (undetermined number), due to an Israeli drone strike on a gathering of civilians around the Sanafur junction in Al-Tuffah neighborhood northeast of Gaza City."
Meanwhile, local sources and eyewitnesses told Anadolu of the incursion of Israeli vehicles at night around the Dawla junction southeast of Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza City, under a heavy cover of artillery shelling and gunfire.
The witnesses added that Israeli vehicles advanced dozens of meters toward Salah al-Din Street, and removed the concrete blocks representing the so-called "Yellow Line" westward, in a new expansion of the army's control areas, narrowing the available space for Palestinians in the Strip.
They pointed out that the area witnessed the displacement of dozens of families who hurried to leave their homes, amid a state of panic due to Israeli gunfire and shells.
Activists documented a fire breaking out in one of the shops around the mentioned area, due to Israeli shelling and gunfire.
The "Yellow Line" is a security strip imposed by Israel inside the Gaza Strip, preventing Palestinians from reaching areas near it, while it controls more than 70 percent of the Strip's area.
Since the signing of the ceasefire agreement in October 2025, the Israeli army has expanded its control in areas outside its control under the agreement, as the percentage of land under its control rose from 53 percent to 70 percent, according to statements by Israeli officials.
Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement until Wednesday resulted in the killing of 1,123 Palestinians and the injury of 3,616 others, according to data from the Ministry of Health in the Strip.
