Thai authorities announced today that the death toll from a fire that erupted Sunday evening at a restaurant in Bangkok has risen to 32. Dozens of people were trapped amid flames and smoke during a party at a restaurant north of the Thai capital. An initial death toll of 27 was announced, but some of the injured later died, raising the total to 32, according to authorities in the Chatuchak area. The fire also injured more than 70 people, 15 of whom remain in critical condition, according to the same source.
