SPA - Dushanbe:

His Excellency the Speaker of the Shura Council, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, held an official meeting with His Excellency the Chairman of the Assembly of Representatives of the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Idi Zada Faiz Ali, in the capital Dushanbe, during his official visit to the Republic of Tajikistan at the head of a delegation from the Council, in response to the invitation extended to him by His Excellency the Chairman of the Tajik Assembly of Representatives.

During the meeting, the distinguished bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Tajikistan were reviewed, and ways to enhance joint parliamentary cooperation were discussed. Both sides stressed the importance of parliamentary visits in exchanging experiences, developing parliamentary work, and opening new avenues for cooperation between the two countries, in addition to unifying visions and positions on issues of mutual interest in international forums.

A number of topics of common interest were also discussed.

The official delegation accompanying His Excellency the Speaker of the Shura Council attended the meeting, which includes Council members Dr. Asim bin Mohammed Madkhali, Engineer Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al Daghir, Dr. Bassam bin Mohammed Al Sayed, and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Ambassador to the Republic of Tajikistan, Khalid bin Abdullah Al Shamrani.
