Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates, Dr. Badr Abdelatty, discussed today with his Dutch counterpart Tom Brendsen, on the sidelines of the ministerial meeting of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), developments in regional situations.

The meeting – according to a statement by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs – discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields, in addition to discussing a number of regional files, foremost of which is the Palestinian issue, efforts to de-escalate in the region, prioritizing the diplomatic track and the language of dialogue, and commitment to the memorandum of understanding signed between the American and Iranian sides and the resumption of negotiations, leading to a final agreement between the two sides.
