A large fire broke out on Saturday at a logistics center of Coupang, an e-commerce company, in Seoknam-dong, Incheon, Korea, prompting a large-scale national response to contain the flames. The Incheon Fire Department reported receiving a call at 6:54 AM about the fire on the sixth floor of the center, leading rescue teams to safely evacuate 121 workers on site without any injuries among them, while one firefighter suffered smoke inhalation during firefighting operations and was taken to the hospital for treatment. More than 79 advanced firefighting vehicles, including aerial ladders and unmanned robots, along with 219 firefighters, were involved in the suppression efforts after the National Fire Agency issued a national mobilization order to respond to the incident. Authorities stated that the likelihood of the fire spreading is currently low, but warned that complete extinguishment may take a long time due to the vast amount of flammable materials inside the logistics center.
