Kuwait announced on Saturday that a number of firefighters were injured while battling two fires that broke out at two sites targeted in the recent Iranian attacks on the country.
This came in an initial statement issued by the Kuwait Fire Service Directorate.
The statement said: "Kuwait Fire Service teams are dealing with two fires that broke out at two different locations in the country, following the targeting of the two sites as part of the recent hostile attacks by the sinful Iranian aggression that targeted the country."
The statement added: "Five firefighting teams participated at the first site, supported by oil sector firefighting teams, while three firefighting teams participated at the second site."
According to the statement, the first incident during the firefighting operation resulted in "a number of injuries among the firefighters and one worker, where the site was evacuated and they were transferred to receive the necessary first aid."
The statement indicated that the force will announce "updates later."
