Foreign Minister discusses with his Jordanian counterpart the escalation in the region and efforts to end it
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi made a phone call today with Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.
According to a statement issued by the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, via its official account on the 'X' platform, the two ministers discussed during the call the serious escalation in the region and the efforts made to end it.
The two ministers affirmed condemnation of the Iranian attacks on Jordan and the Gulf Cooperation Council states, and absolute solidarity in confronting them.
Prince Faisal and Safadi stressed the necessity of ending the escalation and implementing the ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran, and affirmed the need to resume negotiations and reach a comprehensive solution that addresses all causes of tension and guarantees freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
