(CNN)-- The Iranian army on Thursday revealed details of a new drone attack on Kuwait and Bahrain, as part of the tenth round of the operation it called 'Operation Thunderbolt', according to Iran's official IRNA news agency.

In a statement, the Iranian army said that 'radar and defense systems of the terrorist US army in Kuwait and Bahrain were targeted with destructive drones.'

The Iranian army added that 'the operation also targeted Patriot missile defense systems and fuel tankers belonging to the terrorist US army at Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait.'

The Iranian army statement clarified that 'another wave of these drone attacks targeted communications and radar systems, including Super Hawk radars and Patriot installations and systems belonging to the terrorist US army deployed at the defense site of Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain,' according to IRNA.
