Iraqi President Nizar Amidi issued a republican decree retiring former Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al-Sudani and a number of his ministers, based on a proposal by the current Prime Minister. The decision included the Deputy Prime Ministers and several ministers, with the exception of those who retained their portfolios in the current government formation.
The Iraqi President issued a republican decree stipulating the retirement of former Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al-Sudani and his government members.
According to Republican Decree No. (24), issued based on a proposal by the current Prime Minister, the former Prime Minister and a number of ministers were retired, including the Deputy Prime Ministers, and the Ministers of Oil, Finance, Interior, Health, Industry, Trade, Water Resources, Culture, Labor, Environment, and Reconstruction.
The decree exempted ministers who retained their portfolios in the current government formation, most notably Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein and Justice Minister Khaled Shawani, according to RT.
