The Israeli army revealed on Thursday that three Palestinians were killed in airstrikes carried out north of the Gaza Strip, claiming that the targets belonged to the military wing of Hamas.

These field developments come amid the ongoing tension and complex humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip that has been ongoing for a long time.

In an official statement, the army indicated that an operation carried out in coordination with the General Security Service (Shin Bet) on Tuesday in the northern Strip resulted in the killing of Abdullah Jahjah, whom the statement claimed belonged to the naval force of Hamas's Al-Qassam Brigades.

It alleged that Jahjah participated in the attack of October 7, 2023, and that during the war he carried out plans in the naval arena against the Israeli army.

In response to the Israeli siege on Gaza and plans to liquidate the Palestinian cause and impose sovereignty over Al-Aqsa Mosque, Hamas and Palestinian factions launched the 'Al-Aqsa Flood' operation on October 7, 2023, during which they attacked 11 military bases and 22 settlements near the Strip's borders, killing and capturing Israelis.

The army added that the same raid also resulted in the killing of Muhammad al-Hawari, claiming he was a cell leader in the 'Al-Zaytoun Battalion', and Subhi Saqallah, who it said was a reconnaissance element in the same battalion.

In the same context, no immediate comment was issued by Hamas in response to what was stated in the Israeli army statement.

Despite the ceasefire agreement in effect since October 10, 2025, Israel continues to commit daily violations through bombing and shooting, resulting in the killing and wounding of thousands of Palestinians, including children and women.

Palestinians describe the agreement as an 'illusion', as Israeli military operations continue, and crossings remain closed, except for allowing limited amounts of aid, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the Strip.

The agreement was reached after two years of genocide that Israel started on October 8, 2023 with American support, and which later continued in various forms, leaving over 73,000 dead and more than 173,000 wounded, and massive destruction affecting 90% of civilian infrastructure.

The region witnesses ongoing tensions and very complex humanitarian repercussions due to continuous military operations and restrictions at crossings. The field situation remains prone to escalation amid ongoing reports of mutual violations and deterioration of basic infrastructure in the Strip. Observers await the extent of the parties' commitment to the path of calm and ceasefire agreements amid the worsening suffering of the civilian population.
