The Israeli army continued on Saturday its attacks on various areas in southern Lebanon, through airstrikes, artillery shelling, explosions, dropping sound bombs, and tree cutting, resulting in casualties.

The official Lebanese National News Agency said that the Israeli army shelled with artillery the town of Haris in the Bint Jbeil district of Nabatieh governorate, causing casualties (number not specified).

In the same district, Israeli forces cut down all trees planted on the sides of roads in the city of Bint Jbeil, according to the agency.

In the Tyre district of the Southern Governorate, Israeli forces launched early Saturday a number of rockets on neighborhoods of the town of Mansouri adjacent to the Biyut al-Sayyad farm.

An Israeli drone also dropped two sound bombs on the Mashaa neighborhood located between the towns of Majdal Zoun and Mansouri, while warplanes raided the same area, according to the agency.

In the Nabatieh district, the Israeli army carried out a large explosion on Saturday afternoon at the outskirts of the town of Zawtar al-Sharqiya, according to the official news agency.

An Israeli drone also launched a raid on the town of Nabatieh al-Fawqa, while warplanes raided on Friday evening the town of Kafr Tibnit in the same district.

In its account of one of the raids, the Israeli army claimed that it targeted a cell of drone operators affiliated with Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, without specifying the location of the raid.

The army alleged in a brief statement that the raid came after spotting a drone it said was launched near its forces.

It added that the air force carried out a rapid raid targeting 'the cell's members' with the aim of what it called 'removing the threat' it claimed they posed to its forces.

Earlier on Saturday, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that the death toll from the Israeli aggression on the country has risen to 4,328 dead and 12,227 wounded since March 2.

Israel continues its attacks on Lebanon despite the two sides signing, under U.S. auspices, a 'framework agreement' on June 26, which stipulates a phased Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory, starting with two pilot areas.

The attacks also come after talks held in the Italian capital Rome that discussed the start of the withdrawal of Israeli forces from two areas in southern Lebanon.

Israel occupies areas in southern Lebanon, some for decades, and others it seized during the war between 2023 and 2024 and the aggression that began last March.
