The Israeli army announced that its forces will conduct a military drill on Wednesday morning in the northern Western Negev area adjacent to the Gaza Strip.
In a statement on Tuesday, the army said the drill will involve intensive movement of security forces, vehicles, and aircraft, as well as sounds of gunfire in the area.
It added that the drill is pre-planned as part of the 2026 military training program.
The army noted that 'there is no concern of a security incident.'
Despite the ceasefire agreement in effect since October 2025, the Israeli army continues its attacks on Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, killing dozens daily, and is working to expand the areas it occupies to more than half of the Strip's area.
The agreement was reached to stop the genocide committed by Israel since October 8, 2023, which has left over 73,000 dead and more than 173,000 wounded, as well as massive destruction affecting 90% of civilian infrastructure.
