Kuwait Condemns Iranian Aggression and Affirms Right to Protect Sovereignty
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned in the strongest terms the Iranian aggression that targeted Kuwaiti territory this morning, considering it a manifestation of a repeated hostile approach, a grave violation of the state's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and a direct threat to the security of citizens and residents on its soil.
The Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) quoted the Foreign Ministry's statement as saying that these aggressions represent a clear violation of the rules of international law, the United Nations Charter, and Security Council Resolution 2817.
The Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry warned that the continuation of these aggressions constitutes an extremely dangerous escalation that could fuel tension, destabilize regional stability, threaten peace and security in the region, and undermine diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalation and peaceful resolution of crises.
Kuwait reiterated that its sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity are red lines that cannot be violated, noting that it retains all its rights to take necessary measures to protect its security and preserve its sovereignty in accordance with the provisions of international law and the United Nations Charter.
