Minister of Interior Visits Headquarters of Spanish Civil Guard

His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior, visited today the headquarters of the Civil Guard in the Kingdom of Spain, accompanied by His Excellency the Minister of Interior of the Kingdom of Spain, Fernando Grande-Marlaska.

During the visit, His Highness was briefed on the latest technologies and equipment used in a number of security and specialized units of the Civil Guard, including the Special Operations Intervention Unit, the Air Service and drone systems, the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit, the Traffic Security Units, and the Nature Protection Unit. He listened to an explanation of their tasks, working mechanisms, and their readiness and operational capabilities.

His Highness also visited the National Operations and Command Center and the Maritime Surveillance Coordination Center of the Spanish Civil Guard, where he reviewed the mechanisms for managing and coordinating security operations and the modern technologies used in decision-making support. He watched a presentation on security procedures for sporting events and large gatherings, as well as the operational and technical capabilities of the two centers.

The official delegation accompanying the Minister of Interior attended the visit.
