Khartoum, Safar 07, 1448 AH, corresponding to July 21, 2026 AD, SPA – Sudanese newspapers published today paid attention to Sudan's categorical rejection of the sanctions imposed by the United States of America, on the pretext of the army's use of chemical weapons in the context of operations against the Rapid Support Forces. The newspapers quoted the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees as saying: "The situation on the ground in Sudan remains extremely complex." They highlighted the meeting of His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Engineer Walid bin Abdulkarim Al-Khuraiji, in Riyadh yesterday, with the head of the British Office for Sudan Affairs, the Special Representative of the United Kingdom to Sudan, Richard Crowder, where developments in the current situation in Sudan and the efforts made regarding them were reviewed. In sports affairs, they drew attention to the praise of the President of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), Gianni Infantino, for the appreciated efforts of the Sudanese Football Association, which resulted in the return of football activity to the capital Khartoum after three years of suspension.
