The Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, affirmed that the murderers of the late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei will face the consequences of their actions, noting that the final step in taking revenge on the arrogant powers is embodied in the liberation of holy Jerusalem.

This came in a message published by Qalibaf on the occasion of the official funeral ceremony for Khamenei, in which he said that the Iranian masses, who have been the driving force of the revolution for 47 years, raised slogans of revenge over the past four months, expressing their rejection of what he described as the 'murderers of the martyr Imam'.

Qalibaf added that 'the fulfillment of the divine promise is inevitable, and that the aggressors against the soil of Islamic Iran and the murderers of the martyrs of this land will receive their due punishment,' affirming that the Islamic Revolution and the Iranian Republic are 'enduring and eternal.'

The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament pointed out that the Iranian people have extended their hand of allegiance to the new Leader, Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, calling on officials to work diligently in serving the people on both economic and diplomatic fronts.
