The State of Qatar strongly condemned the renewed Iranian attacks on Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait, including the targeting of the Kuwaiti tanker 'Kevan' while it was crossing the Strait of Hormuz.

In a statement today, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that these attacks constitute a blatant violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of these countries, a serious threat to the safety of navigation and global energy supplies, and an egregious breach of international law, the United Nations Charter, and the principles of good neighborliness.

It added that the continuation of these attacks represents a dangerous escalation that would complicate efforts to contain tensions and undermine political and diplomatic endeavors aimed at achieving security and stability in the region.

It stressed the need for an immediate and complete cessation of all military operations and attacks threatening the region's security and stability, refraining from anything that could expand the cycle of escalation, a serious return to the path of dialogue and negotiations, and commitment to the understandings achieved through diplomatic efforts.

The ministry reaffirmed the full solidarity of the State of Qatar with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the State of Kuwait, and its support for all measures they take to preserve their sovereignty and security.
