Russian authorities announced Saturday that 7 people were killed and 48 others injured in drone attacks targeting the Tambov and Moscow regions.

The governor of the Tambov region (west), Yevgeny Pervyshov, said that a drone struck a logistics center of e-commerce platform Wildberries, killing 7 employees who were working the night shift and injuring 24 others.

He added that the injured are receiving treatment, noting that the fire that broke out at the logistics center has been brought under control.

For his part, Moscow region governor Andrey Vorobyov announced a fire at an oil storage facility due to a drone attack, stating that emergency teams had been dispatched to the scene.

He also noted that a maternity hospital located near the fire site was evacuated and patients were transferred to other medical facilities.

In turn, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 379 Ukrainian drones since night hours.

Russia has been waging a military attack on its neighbor Ukraine since February 24, 2022, demanding for its end that Kyiv abandon joining Western military entities, which Kyiv considers 'interference' in its affairs.
