Moscow - Agencies:

The Russian Defense Ministry announced that its forces carried out a series of strikes with long-range precision weapons and drones targeting facilities belonging to the Ukrainian military-industrial complex in the capital Kyiv.

The ministry said in a statement that the strikes targeted sites for the production and storage of long- and medium-range drones, confirming that the goals were achieved.

It added that the attacks also included infrastructure facilities in the ports of Odesa and Yuzhny in southern Ukraine, used for the delivery and storage of military cargo, as well as fuel and lubricants.

These strikes come as Russia has intensified its attacks on several Ukrainian facilities, including ports, over the past days, amid ongoing military operations between the two sides, while political efforts to reach a settlement to the conflict continue to face challenges.
