The Russian Foreign Ministry has warned against NATO's movements in the Arctic.

The ministry added that NATO's movements in the Arctic significantly increase the risk of unintended incidents with negative consequences, according to Al-Sharq.

The Director of the European Affairs Department at the Russian Foreign Ministry, Vladislav Maslennikov, had confirmed that NATO members justify the alliance's preparations for a major conflict with a false claim about an existing threat from Russia.

Regarding the alliance's description of Russia as a 'threat,' he said that this formulation first appeared in the alliance's strategic concept in 2022, and since then it has been included in NATO summit statements year after year.
