وقعت السعودية والولايات المتحدة اتفاقية تعاون نووي سلمي، تهدف إلى تعزيز الشراكة الاستراتيجية وتبادل الخبرات والتقنيات وفق أعلى المعايير الدولية.
The Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Government of the United States of America signed a cooperation agreement on the peaceful uses of nuclear energy, as part of the strategic partnership between the two countries, and in continuation of what was announced during Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's visit to the United States last November regarding the completion of negotiations on this file.
The agreement was signed by Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, Minister of Energy and Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, and US Secretary of Energy Chris Wright, and aims to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the field of peaceful uses of nuclear energy, and to support the exchange of expertise, knowledge, and technologies in accordance with the highest international standards related to nuclear safety, security, and non-proliferation.
The agreement reflects the shared vision of the two countries to expand cooperation in the fields of energy and future technologies, and to support sustainable development, as it represents a natural extension of existing cooperation in the energy sector, and contributes to diversifying its sources and developing advanced technologies, in a way that achieves the common interests of the two countries.
