The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's condemnation in the strongest terms of the explosion that targeted a security checkpoint in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in northwestern Islamic Republic of Pakistan, resulting in the deaths of a number of military personnel and a civilian.

In a statement, it said: 'The Kingdom reaffirms its firm position in rejecting violence, terrorism, and extremism in all its forms, and expresses its solidarity and sincere condolences to the government and people of Pakistan, and its sympathy to the families of the deceased, with sincere wishes for continued security and safety for Pakistan and its brotherly people.'
