Six people were killed and two others were injured after a fire broke out on Tuesday evening in a building under renovation in central Brussels, where the victims were found inside an elevator at the scene.
Spokesman for the Work Audit Office Brecht Speybroeck explained that the fire started on the second floor of the building located in a main shopping area, before the flames spread to the elevator, noting that 250 workers were evacuated from the site.
