Sinan Al-Jumaili, a member of the Iraqi parliament, said that the 'Fajr Assault' campaign against corruption currently underway in Iraq is a serious and continuous campaign targeting anyone who has committed violations concerning public funds. Al-Jumaili added that the issue of corruption and waste of public money in Iraq is a major file that Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi has tackled since assuming his post last May. Al-Jumaili explained that the Prime Minister enjoys popular support on this issue, as well as the support of all political blocs, noting that corruption has permeated all areas of the Iraqi state, in his words.
Sinan Al-Jumaili, a member of the Iraqi parliament, denied that Ali Al-Zaidi's assumption of the post of Prime Minister of Iraq was an exclusively American choice, stressing that Al-Zaidi's selection was an Iraqi choice and by Iraqi consensus, but it garnered the support of the United States and friendly countries. Al-Jumaili said that Iraq is now at a crossroads, facing major security and economic challenges, indicating that the Prime Minister has no choice but to succeed and steer Iraq to safety.
So what is the comment of Sinan Al-Jumaili, a member of the Iraqi parliament, on the phenomenon of rampant corruption in Iraq despite the multiplicity of oversight bodies? What is his comment on the accusations of corruption and waste of public money directed at members of parliament and other influential figures in Iraq? What is his position on the application of the general amnesty law to those who are proven to have accusations of corruption and waste of public money? What is his position on opening the Iraqi market, especially the oil and gas sector, to American and other foreign investments? And why does he deny the existence of dialogue or coordination currently between the Taqaddum party, which he belongs to, and the 'Azm' alliance, both of which belong to the Sunni component in Iraq.
