Al Jazeera - Sports:

Spain topped the world football team rankings issued by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) two days ago, one day after winning the 2026 World Cup title by defeating Argentina 1-0. Spain obtained (1995.88 points), ahead of Argentina, which dropped to second place with (1970.37 points).

France and England came in third and fourth places, while Brazil advanced one place to fifth, followed by Morocco in sixth.

Portugal dropped two places to seventh, Belgium advanced to eighth, Netherlands dropped to ninth, and Mexico advanced four places to tenth in the rankings.

The rankings saw Egypt advance four places to 24th globally, followed by Algeria in 29th, then Tunisia in 57th, Saudi Arabia in 58th, and Qatar in 59th globally.
