US President Donald Trump told Axios that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu 'knows who the leader is,' referring to himself, and described their relationship as 'very good.'

Trump said Netanyahu requested a meeting at the White House, noting that the meeting is likely to take place early next week.

He noted that he has been following the funeral of the late Iranian Supreme Leader, and was surprised to see some Iranians crying during the ceremony because he thought people hated Khamenei.

He added that he could eliminate all leaders in Iran, but he will not, because 'there would be no one left to negotiate with,' noting that the US and Iranians have decided to take a one-week break from talks until after the funeral.

He stressed, 'Neither side will fire on the other during the Khamenei funeral period,' considering that Iranians are 'begging' for a deal.

On the other hand, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said his country supports every step aimed at de-escalation in the region, stressing the need to prevent the Israeli government from plunging the region back into gunpowder and blood.

Turkey's Anadolu Agency quoted Erdogan during a press conference with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif as saying that Turkey wants a climate where all people in the region live in security and peace, regardless of their religious beliefs.

The Turkish president affirmed that his country will continue to work with regional countries, especially Pakistan, to establish security and stability.
