US President Donald Trump accused China of carrying out what he described as "the largest election data hack in history," announcing his intention to declassify intelligence information that he said reveals "shocking weaknesses" in the US electoral system.

In a televised speech from the White House, he explained that the alleged hack allowed Beijing to illegally obtain files of 22 million American voters since the 2020 election.

Despite these accusations, more than 60 lawsuits filed by Trump and his allies regarding fraud in the 2020 election did not result in any rulings proving irregularities that affected the results, nor did the recounts and audits conducted by the Justice Department support his claims.
