Trump: Iran may seek to kill me

US President Donald Trump confirmed on Wednesday that the United States is dealing with a group of lunatics in Iran, noting that if anything happens with Iran, it will be quick.

Trump said in a speech after the end of the NATO summit in Ankara: 'We are dealing with a group of lunatics in Iran... The Iranians wanted to make a deal and then they fired on ships in the Strait of Hormuz.. The Iranians bombed ships, so we responded with strikes ten times stronger, and we respond to Iran in the language it understands.'

He added: 'The Iranians may seek to kill me because I am number one target for them, and Iran will never get a nuclear weapon, and that's why we started our operation there, and we destroyed Iran's military capabilities and they still have some missiles and platforms, and we succeeded in Iran more than in Venezuela.'

He continued: 'We have the strongest army in the world and we were able to destroy Iran. Iran had a good navy but it is now at the bottom of the sea, and I am not sure I want to make a deal with the current Iranian leaders.'

Regarding rising oil prices, Trump said: 'Preventing Iran from having a nuclear weapon is more important than rising oil prices. What we did with Iran should have been done 47 years ago. I don't think war with Iran will break out again, and if anything happens with Iran, it will be quick.'

He added: 'America is the largest contributor to NATO by a large margin over others, and the arms industry in America is growing rapidly, and I hope we make weapons at a faster pace so we can sell them quickly.'
