Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, made two phone calls with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Italian Republic, Antonio Tajani, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Spain, José Manuel Albares, to discuss the latest developments in the region, and to condemn the terrorist attack carried out by the Houthi militia that targeted the southern region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in addition to emphasizing the importance of protecting the security of maritime navigation.

During the two calls, the Minister of Foreign Affairs reviewed with his Italian and Spanish counterparts the regional developments in light of the current developments in the region, and the two sides discussed a number of issues of common interest.

The discussions affirmed the condemnation and denunciation of the terrorist attack carried out by the Houthi militia, which targeted the southern region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, stressing the rejection of such acts that pose a threat to security and stability.

The two calls also addressed the importance of maintaining the security and freedom of maritime navigation in the Arabian Gulf and the Red Sea, as they are among the most important vital sea lanes, and emphasized the need to protect navigation in them from any threats.
