Abu Dhabi, December 4 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State (may God protect him), received his brother, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, sovereign of the sisterly Kingdom of Morocco, who is on a state visit today to the UAE.

An official reception ceremony was held for His Majesty upon the arrival of his convoy at Qasr Al Watan in the capital Abu Dhabi. The convoy was accompanied by a group of horsemen on Arabian horses in the palace square. Then His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan escorted His Majesty King Mohammed VI to the honor platform, and the national anthems of the UAE and the Kingdom of Morocco were played, while 21 cannon shots were fired in welcome of His Majesty's visit.

Upon the arrival of His Majesty's convoy at the palace, the national aerobatic team 'Fursan Al Emarat' flew in the palace sky, forming a display of the flag of the sisterly Kingdom of Morocco. Those present to receive him included: His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the State, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court; His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi; His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi; Lieutenant General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; His Highness Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs; His Highness Sheikh Dhiyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Office of Development and Martyrs Families Affairs at the Presidential Court; His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; His Excellency Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme National Security Council; His Excellency Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Diplomatic Advisor to the President of the State; His Excellency Suhail bin Mohammed Faraj Faris Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure; Her Excellency Mariam bint Mohammed Almheiri, Minister of Climate Change and Environment; His Excellency Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi, Minister of Investment; His Excellency Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State; His Excellency Mohammed Ali Mohammed Al Shorafa Al Hammadi, Chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport in Abu Dhabi; and His Excellency Al Asri Al Dhahiri, UAE Ambassador to Morocco, along with a number of officials.

His Majesty King Mohammed VI is accompanied during the visit by a delegation including a number of ministers and senior officials from Morocco.
