UN Office in Kuwait honors KUNA for distinguished media coverage

KUWAIT, July 2 (KUNA) -- The United Nations Office in Kuwait honored the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) in recognition of its distinguished media coverage of UN activities and programs.
The recognition came during a meeting between Acting KUNA Director-General Mohammad Al-Mannai and the UN Secretary-General's Representative in Kuwait, Ghada Al-Taher.
Al-Taher praised KUNA's professional and credible coverage of UN initiatives, stressing the importance of further strengthening media cooperation to support the UN's objectives and raise public awareness of its activities in Kuwait.
In turn, Al-Mannai reaffirmed KUNA's commitment to expanding cooperation and coordination with the UN Office in Kuwait to highlight international efforts and enhance awareness of humanitarian and development issues.
The meeting reviewed existing cooperation between the two sides and explored opportunities to broaden their media partnership, while Al-Taher also honored several KUNA officials, editors and journalists for their outstanding professional contributions to covering UN activities and programs.
