The Joint Maritime Information Center, led by the US Navy, announced that the naval blockade the US intends to impose on Iran will include all ship movements regardless of the flag they fly, as part of measures targeting Iranian ports and coastal areas.

The center clarified that the US military will begin implementing the naval blockade on all Iranian ports and coastal areas starting at 20:00 GMT on July 14.

It confirmed that the blockade will be comprehensive and cover the entire Iranian coast, including, but not limited to, Iranian ports and oil terminals.

The center noted that the announced measures will not impede the passage of neutral ships through the Strait of Hormuz to and from non-Iranian destinations, affirming the continued navigation of vessels not associated with Iranian ports.

It added that humanitarian aid shipments will be allowed to pass, provided they undergo inspection operations in accordance with the announced procedures.
