The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Tuesday evening that it continues to implement operations to impose a naval blockade on Iran, confirming that US forces changed the course of 8 commercial ships and disrupted another until July 21, as part of its measures aimed at ensuring full enforcement of the blockade imposed on Iranian ports.

The command said in a statement that "every operational success in the Middle East begins and ends with the efforts of military service members who continue to focus on carrying out their missions," praising the role of participating forces in monitoring maritime traffic and enforcing restrictions on Iran.

It added that the recent measures included diverting eight commercial ships and preventing another from continuing its voyage, in a step aimed at tightening control over shipping traffic linked to Iran, as part of ongoing US operations in the region.
