White House: Trump Still Open to Diplomacy with Iran

The White House said Thursday that U.S. President Donald Trump remains open to diplomacy with Iran, despite renewed hostilities between the two sides. White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt stated during a press briefing that President Trump holds Iranians accountable when they break commitments made to the United States, but at the same time he always remains open to diplomacy.

New Wave of Strikes

U.S. forces have begun a new wave of strikes against Iran.

Al Arabiya reported, citing U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), that tonight's strikes aim to weaken Iran's military capabilities. It also cited Iranian media saying that areas in Bandar Abbas are being hit by U.S. strikes, in addition to several explosions being heard in Bushehr and Bandar Abbas.
