Choosing the Right Tire
Tire specialist Saleh Al-Harthi confirmed that high temperatures during the summer require vehicle drivers to double their attention to inspecting tires and ensure their fitness, explaining that high heat, along with hot asphalt, are among the most prominent factors affecting tire efficiency, and may increase the likelihood of damage or explosion if the tire suffers from wear or cracks. He explained that choosing the right tire should be based on the vehicle's specifications and usage nature, noting that the market offers multiple options that vary in country of origin, manufacturing quality, and operational life, which is reflected in safety, performance, and road stability levels.
He pointed out that the lifespan of tires varies depending on the manufacturer and usage conditions, noting that adherence to regular maintenance and rotating tires every 10,000 kilometers or every six months helps distribute wear, extend their lifespan, and improve vehicle performance. He added that among the most prominent signs that require tire replacement are the appearance of side cracks, bulges, or wear, stressing that ignoring these signs may lead to sudden failures and traffic accidents, especially during travel and on highways, emphasizing the importance of checking the tire's manufacturing date stamped on its side before purchase, and ensuring it meets approved specifications.
Increasing Demand for Tire Replacement in Summer Season
