The General Traffic Department launched the electronic auction for distinctive plates via the "Absher" platform on Wednesday, 8 Safar 1448 AH, corresponding to July 22, 2026, and the auction will continue until Thursday, 9 Safar 1448 AH, corresponding to July 23, 2026.

The department explained that participation in the auction is done through four simple steps, starting with logging into the "Absher" platform, then selecting "Services" from the "My Services" tab, then choosing "Traffic," and finally selecting the "Electronic Plate Auction" service.

This step comes as part of the General Traffic Department's move towards digitizing its services and facilitating beneficiaries' access to them through government electronic platforms.
