The General Directorate of Passports has made available the service of extending single and multiple visit visas electronically through the Absher platform, enabling citizens and residents to complete extension procedures easily without having to visit passport offices.

The directorate explained on the X platform that the service is implemented through the host's account on the Absher platform, with the need to meet a number of conditions, most notably the absence of traffic violations recorded against the visitor, the validity of the medical insurance document, in addition to paying the visa extension fees, and that the visitor's passport is valid.

Passports also stipulated that the visitor be inside the Kingdom when submitting the request, and that the remaining period of the visa validity be seven days or less, or that no more than three days have passed since its expiry, with the day of visa expiry counted within the specified period.

The directorate explained that the service can be accessed by logging into the Absher platform, then selecting 'My Services', moving to 'Passports', then 'Visitor Services', to complete the visit visa extension procedures electronically.
