Al-Ahli Club officially announced the signing of Portuguese left winger Francisco Trincão from Sporting Lisbon for (4) years for (85) million euros.

According to the Portuguese newspaper "A Bola", the market value of Trincão, who is (26 years old) and was in the list of his country's national team in the 2026 World Cup, is about (40) million euros.

According to the Portuguese newspaper: "Sporting Lisbon will receive (45) million euros for relinquishing the player, while he will receive (40) million euros at a rate of (10) million euros per season."

Annual salary of 10 million euros

It said: "The player wanted an annual salary of (12.5) million euros, but matters may have been settled at (10) million euros per season."

Francisco Trincão has played throughout his professional career (327) matches, managed to score 62 goals, and provided 57 assists. He won with Sporting two league titles in (2023-2024) and (2024-2025).

In addition to the Portuguese Cup title, he previously won the Spanish Cup (2020-2021) and the Portuguese League Cup (2019-2020).

Playing in various offensive positions

Al-Ahli stated via its official account on the "X" platform: "The club's step in signing player Trincão reflects the club's strategy to strengthen the first team with elements of quality and experience, in line with its ambitions to compete for all titles in the coming stage."

It said: "This signing reflects the club's confidence in 'Trincão's' capabilities and European experience, as well as being a versatile winger capable of playing in various offensive positions, with high technical abilities and great effectiveness, qualities that will form a qualitative and important addition to the team."

In contrast, the player confirmed that his presence at Al-Ahli is an important station in his professional career.

He said: "I am very proud to join Al-Ahli. I am fully aware of the value of this historic club, its history, and its vast fanbase. The passion of the fans was one of the main reasons that encouraged me to take this step. I promise to give my best and fight alongside my colleagues to achieve success and make the fans happy."
