Saudi market rises 0.3% supported by energy sector
TASI rose 0.3% supported by Aramco, ACWA, and Saudi Electrical Industries, with trading volume of about 4 billion riyals, while a number of leading stocks declined.
The Saudi main market index (TASI) ended Thursday's session up 0.3%, adding 29 points to close at 10,804 points, with total trading value reaching about 4 billion riyals.
The index recorded its highest level of the session at 10,804 points, while the lowest level was 10,733 points.
The market performance was supported by gains in ACWA and Saudi Aramco shares, with the former rising 3% to close at 194 riyals, while Saudi Aramco rose 1% to 26.84 riyals.
Saudi Electrical Industries shares jumped by the maximum limit to close at 14.83 riyals, after the company announced a rise in its profits in the second quarter of 2026.
Shares of Sulaiman Al-Habib, Arabian Drilling, Al-Babtain, Sisco Holding, Bupa Arabia, and Elm also rose by rates ranging between 1% and 4%.
In contrast, Saudi National Bank shares declined by 1% to close at 39.56 riyals, while shares of SABIC, Dar Al Arkan, Sipchem, Jarir, Al-Arabia, and Investment Bank fell by rates ranging between 1% and 3%.
Jomjoum Pharma shares fell 3% to close at 142.40 riyals.
