Al Hilal Restructures Football Sector with Specialized Sports Management to Develop Governance
The board of directors of Al Hilal Club Company restructured the football system by establishing a specialized sports management department comprising a number of technical and administrative talents, as part of a plan aimed at developing sports governance and enhancing operational efficiency in preparation for competition in the new season.
The step comes as part of a developmental project that the club is implementing to build a more integrated sports system, based on aligning technical and administrative aspects with the long-term strategy, thereby enhancing decision-making efficiency and supporting sustainable performance at the local, continental, and international levels.
Appointment of Simon Francis
The Englishman Simon Francis has assumed his role as technical director of football, after a career as a player with Bournemouth before moving into administrative work, where he took on responsibilities related to sports strategy, recruitment operations, and talent development, during a period in which the English club underwent a sporting transformation.
Specialized Administrative Structure
The new sports management includes a number of specialized positions, including a recruitment director, a scouting director, a senior technical scout, and an operations director. It will be responsible for implementing the sports strategy and overseeing recruitment, development, and technical operations, as part of the football system development project which the club's management said will be completed in phases according to the approved plan.
Start of Training and Player Medical Examinations
On the field, Al Hilal began its preparations for the new season yesterday, while the first group of players underwent medical examinations today as part of the preparatory program. The remaining groups will complete the same procedures before the start of the technical and physical phase of the preparations.
