Oil loading operations at the Caspian Pipeline Consortium terminal on the Russian coast of the Black Sea halted following a drone attack.

The consortium announced in a statement published on Telegram on Sunday that it suspended operations at mooring points 1 and 3 after the attack, which occurred during the loading of the oil tankers Asia and Nissos Ios.

The consortium said a fire that broke out on the tanker Asia was extinguished, and no injuries were reported. It added that no oil spill occurred, and the tanker is undergoing damage assessment.

The consortium includes oil companies from Russia, the United States, Kazakhstan, and a number of European countries. Most of the oil transported via the pipeline comes from Kazakhstan, so these shipments are not subject to Western sanctions.

The consortium stated that the drone attack is the fifth targeting its facilities.
