The net profit of Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) grew by 8.5% year-on-year in the second quarter of the current year to SAR 901 million, compared to SAR 830 million in the same quarter last year.

Mobily explained in a statement on Tadawul on Sunday that the income growth is due to an 8.5% increase in gross profit to SAR 2.84 billion, and a 7.7% rise in profit before depreciation, amortization, Murabaha costs and Zakat to SAR 1.96 billion, supported by revenue growth, which impacted operating profits to rise 9.8% to SAR 978 million.

Quarterly sales also increased by 5.2% to reach SAR 5 billion, due to higher revenues from all company segments, in addition to growth in the customer base.

In this regard, Mobily's board of directors approved a dividend of SAR 1.07 billion for the first half of 2026 on 767.5 million shares at SAR 1.4 per share, representing 14% of its nominal value, with the entitlement date being July 30, and the distribution date set for August 19.

Mobily's CEO, Nizar Banabila, had previously told Al-Eqtisadiah that the company has plans to support digital banking activity in Saudi Arabia, and that Mobily Pay has created integrated products that combine the telecommunications and banking sectors, enhancing customer confidence and meeting their requirements and aspirations.

He also affirmed the company's commitment to supporting the local content program and serious collaboration with Saudi startups to provide them with the necessary capabilities for growth, believing that the strength of local companies is the main driver of sustainable positive impact in the Saudi market.
