The Ministry of Commerce announced today (Tuesday) the launch of an exceptional commercial sales season, extending from August 1 to October 31, 2026, as part of its efforts to enable the commercial sector and encourage economic and purchasing activity in the Kingdom.

The ministry clarified in a statement that this season is an exceptional period for discounts, as its days will not be deducted from the annual balance allocated for discount days for commercial establishments and online stores, granting businesses greater flexibility to offer competitive deals and benefits on various products and services to consumers.

The ministry called on all establishments and stores wishing to benefit from the season to apply electronically to obtain discount licenses through the designated website, in order to issue the licenses easily, print them, and display them to consumers according to approved regulations and controls.

It also indicated that consumers can verify the regularity and validity of the discounts by scanning the barcode shown on the discount license with their phone camera, which will display all data related to the discounts, including 'the type and percentage of discounts, their duration, in addition to the basic establishment data.'
