Director of the Zad Consulting Center, Hussein Al-Raqeeb, explained the potential for Saudi transport and delivery companies to transform into logistics platforms to enhance their market share.

Al-Raqeeb added, in a phone-in on Al-Sharq Bloomberg, that diversification of fields could lead to the emergence of small companies specializing in transporting medicines and food products.

He continued that the presence of these companies through distribution centers within neighborhoods supports their strength with storage capability, thereby enhancing the transformation of delivery companies into logistics platforms as they have materials available.

He further noted that if a delivery company provides logistics services such as storage, it reduces costs on its activities and benefits from storage and logistics operations so as not to rely heavily solely on delivery fees.
